BIG Heart Ranch has years of experience working with kids and teens on the Autism Spectrum and now, research supporting the positive effects of Equine Assisted Growth & Learning for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Sessions are often used for research involving the benefits of animal assisted therapy.

Enrich your kid’s senses at BIG Heart Ranch’s Animal Adventure Series. A four or eight week Animal Assisted Growth and Learning curriculum combines with a spectacular ranch setting in this life-enriching experience for kids on the Autism Spectrum and those with Special Needs and their siblings. Designed to engage kids and model relationships using animals, the Animal Adventure Series increases insights through experiential learning with animals while participants explore with all their senses.

Age: Participants are divided into groups based on age and needs. We encourage siblings to participate in the sessions.


Parents Retreat

The ocean view retreat provides a spectacular setting for group discussion with other parents, relaxation or meditation while sessions take place.
